We talked to one of our clients, a soccer player that played for the Red Star women’s soccer team.

Bojana continued her academic and athletic career at Central Wyoming College.

Unfortunately, she suffered a knee injury she had to get surgery for in the first season of the league. Still, Bojana remains positive and awaits her return to the field with anticipation. You can read about how much her teammates and college friends helped her in the interview below.

1. Introduce yourself, and tell us more about you.

My name is Bojana Njagul and I’m currently a student at Central Wyoming College, where I also play soccer.

2. Kako si došla na ideju da nastaviš studije u Americi ?

Going to America and studying there has always been my dream. I know some girls that studied in the USA because they’re athletes and they always talked about their experience like it was something special.

3. What were your expectations for the programme before going to America? Have they been fulfilled?

Honestly, I expected that everything would be better than it is here. I played for a good club here as well, but I had to pay for everything by myself and the conditions weren’t all that. When I came to the USA, everything was way different; everything, every trip was paid for, everything was well organized, and the team was amazing. They’re much better than in Serbia. There’s no hatred or vanity among the girls.

The professors are great, they’ll provide help when needed and do everything they can to make things easier for you, so balancing school and sports isn’t that difficult. You’ll meet students from all over the world and trust me, you’ll be amazed by all the cultures and how different people can be.

I’ll use myself as an example. I had to get knee surgery, and all my teammates, as well as the basketball players and other soccer players, were helping me the entire time. I don’t know how I would have done it without them.

4. How much did the “Head Coach” agency make finding the right college easier for you?

Head Coach was a huge help, I honestly don’t know how I would have done it without them. All the documentation, the Visa, I don’t know how I’d find my way around by myself.

I want to take this opportunity to give thanks to Head Coach and say hello from Riverton.

5. Do you have any advice for young people that are currently looking into athlete scholarship programmes?

If you’re thinking of studying in the USA, my advice is to do it. You won’t regret it and it’ll be a great experience.

Bojana, thank you for talking about your experience. We wish you a swift recovery and to return to the field soon and show everybody what you’ve got!
