About the program
Junior college or community college is a college that is at a lower level than a university. The main purpose of this program is to provide academic and professional education. Junior College lasts for 2 years.
Diploma
The highest certificate offered by such schools is the Associate's degree. However, if students decide to transfer to a four-year college and continue their education, they are able to transfer some or all of the credits obtained at Junior colleges according to the requirements and criteria of four-year schools.
Transferring from 2-Year to 4-Year College
If students maintain good grades at Junior College, they have the opportunity to transfer to a university and earn a Bachelor's degree. Also, athletes have the opportunity to be seen by coaches from universities and to receive a sports scholarship for four-year studies. Some students decide to enroll in Junior College and after two years transfer to a university to save money.
Grading and tuition fees
-
1. The grading system is the same as in high schools and prep academies. (A-F)
